C6 and C6/Z06 Corvette Full System Pictures, Videos, and Overview

Hello, I'm Rick Conway in the Sales/Tech. Support Department of Stainless Works Performance Exhaust in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. We are pleased to introduce to the Corvette Forum our Mandrel Bent High Quality 304L Stainless Steel full system (headers w/x-pipe and axle-back) for the C6 and C6 Z06 Corvette! I have included some dyno numbers, photos, and a link to a video clip of a new Z06 with our full system for your viewing and listening pleasure. I think you will agree that this system looks and sounds as amazing as it performs!

We have the ability to install our exhaust systems on your vehicle in our clean and secure installation facility. We have done countless installs on extremely high dollar custom muscle cars, dragsters, and exotics. Call to schedule your installation today!

C6 Axle Back System

C6 Headers with Random Technology High Flow Metal Matrix Cats

Stainless Works Performance vs. The Competition is... NO COMPETITION!!!

In a recent price comparison our Stainless Works C6/Z06 Axle-back exhaust system and x-pipe center section retails for $300 less than the competitons axle back system ONLY. That's $1298.99 vs. 1599.99 and you get 1/3 more quality performance stainless exhaust system for your money! Furthermore the complete stainless steel construction (stainless muffler packing, clamps, EVERYTHING) of all our exhaust systems is backed up with our 100% lifetime warranty on materials and workmanship meaning that you will never have to replace your performance exhaust system again... EVER!

Weight Savings and Performance

We took weight as well as horspower and torque numbers into account when building this system and we were able to manufacture an full exhaust that weights an amazing 40 lbs. less than your stock C6 and Z06 Corvette systems.
(81.5lbs vs. 122lbs).

Proven on the Dyno and on the Road Course!!!

We produce our own brand of performance exhaust systems and mufflers as well as many private label products for top tuners and builders such as Lingenfelter, Wheel to Wheel, Mallet, Roush, and others (Yea...they use our stuff). We are the only exhaust company to have had our headers and exhaust systems on Corvettes, which have finished in the top five of Car and Drivers One Lap of America, nearly every year for the past five years. We also supplied the headers and exhaust to the MTI Built Z07 of Ron Adee, which won the 2003 One Lap.

Dyno numbers for the C6 Z06 full system are as follows... (Without a tune or cold air induction)

Peak Wheel Horsepower Increase: 29 HP from 4200-5200 RPM
Peak Wheel Torque Increase: 41 ft/lbs @ 3400 RPM
Under the Curve Torque Gains: **Torque Curve Broadened** 30+ ft/lb gain from 2600-4800 RPM and 20-30ft/lbs from 4800 RPM to redline. This system is an absolute torque monster! All of the numbers listed above are with the factory computer tuning. With tuning we have seen gains of 40+RWHP and 40+RWTQ possible.

Here are the dyno numbers on some of our other systems...

2006 GTO - 52.83hp and 53.37 ft.lb @ 5200 RPM Thats Right
2005 Cadillac CTSV - 47.4hp and 53.2 ft lb. 5900 RPM (Yes we make one for the Caddy)
97-04 Corvette - 31.83hp and 29.72 ft.lb @ 6000 RPM
03-04 Mustang Cobra - 57.5hp and 53 ft.lb. @ 6000 RPM

Check us out at www.stainlessworks.net for more products and sound clips of our performance stainless steel exhaust systems!

The biggest difference between the C6 and Z06 headers is in the primary tube size and design. The Z06 headers use a long primary tube design, and also a larger tube diameter to make the most torque and HP possible. We recommend the 1 7/8" headers for cars with bolt ons, and mild head and cam packages, and the 2" headers for cars with radical cylinder head and cam packages or for non-n/a applications.

Our standard C6 headers are designed to work well with the smaller displacement LS2 engine and utilize the proven header design of our C5 headers. These will fit both 6 speed and automatic cars with no modifications of transmission cooler lines, etc.

If there are any questions about our products or if you would like to place an order, please contact me in the Stainless Works Sales/Tech. Department at 1-800-878-3635.

Regards,
Rick Conway

Will the headers work with the stock exhaust?
Do you offer quad tips?

ive been thinking about the 2 inch headers for a c6 z06 seems like they would make more power and would have room for more mods for the engine becasue of better exhaust flow vs 1 2/4 headers

Nice system, looks like the best on the market! How is the install, will they slip from the bottom on the Z06?

Our headers will work with the stock exhaust system. Installation on a Z06 is through the bottom and you need to use our extended oil system lines (included) in order to keep the dry sump lines away from the headers.

Default Z06 Exhaust

The Zo6 System that you are selling is resonance free inside the car? I have had over eight Corvette's and the last three have had headers and cat back exhaust on them. I am looking at having Kooks headers and Corsa's cat back installed. How does your system compare to this set up? I want my car to be agressive but not loud inside the car. Do you have factory style 4 inch tips? I am tying to find the perfect exhaust set up for a perfect car.

Default Z06 Exhaust

I don't mean to be rude but please reply to my post. I have six other friends that have new Z06's and we are all waiting for you're responce. I talked with the people from ZIP Products and they said the KOOK's headers and Corsa exhaust was my best choice. I want to hear from you before my friends and I make a choice. Will you be at Carlisle?

MTI racing in Atlanta installed Stainlessworks headers and x-pipe on my '06 A6 Vert about 5 weeks ago and I kept the stock exhaust. A slight improvement in sound at idle, a little more rumble if you will. (Hey it's all subjective) A significant sound increase at WOT. I'm pleased with them.

Assuming this is the same system (?) there is no drone at all with my setup.

I have the full Stainless Works system from headers to three inch exhaust on my C5. I had it (1 3/4 headers) on the 346 with head and cam and now on my 427 with the 1 7/8 headers as well as X pipe and three inch exhaust. A very high quality system and no appreciable drone. At wide open throttle there is plenty of sound but at idle there is just a deep rumble. Very good system used by many racers. By the way RICK AKA Stainless Guy I just sent you a PM on your product.
