Default C6 A6 Vs. Porsche GT2

Ok...My neighbor across the street has a slightly modded Porsche GT2...I think its either a 03 or 04 but not too sure...All I know the sucker is very FAST. Hes challenging me to a race...I told him Qtr mile and he was like no problem! Half of the neighbors think hes going to smoke the Vette, the other think ill get him but in the Qtr Mile only...I did a little research and this is the REAL deal. $1000 bucks is on the line here...WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? The only Mod on my car is Bullets so far...

Well I know hes got exhaust and I hear hes got more boost out of them twin turbos...It sounds mean! I think its going to come down to the driver...One missed shift on his part and hes outta there. Any idea what kind of horepower a stock GT2 puts out? I hear 455???

around 450-460bhp, 450-460tq and the car weighs 3175. With his mods and if hes a good driver, ummm.....u better hope he mis-shifts.

and as far as I know, just the exhaust doesnt add any power on the c6.

Of course he has at the very least a chance. If this guy isn't on his game perfectly (I've found that few Porsche drivers are at the drag strip) an A6 Corvette can edge him out. Of course being rear engined (traction advantage, with the AWD models even more so) AND making more boost than stock gives him some seriously improved chances.
Against a bone stock GT2 I would say it's a good race but if this guy can pilot this modded one it's gonna be tough.

Take the grand and get a big gulp Dr.NOS system installed. If was in his shoes, I'd make quick stop at the local c116 dealer, turn that boost up and laugh my @ss off.

The newer ones are ~480 hp. An exhaust and a chip can easily put the power at 550 hp.

Weight transfer + lot's of power + low weight. If he doesn't screw up he's gonna beat you.

That car runs 11.7 1/4 mile stock if it is a 2005. If it's a 2003 ,or 2004 it would be around 11.9 stock.

That's not a fair race. A Z06 would be more like it.

Unless you are ready to give away $1G you better not race him. You really do not have a chance. Even a stock GT2 would absolutely smoke you.

Wasn't there a thread that was locked a while back where there was a video of a GT3 smoking the crap out of a A6??? Not sure if there is a difference between GT2 and GT3.....time for me to do a Google search.

GT2 is TT + RWD, GT3 is N/A + AWD

GT2 > GT3
