Horsepower wise, how do the aftermarket solutions compare to a butterfly open zo6 muffler?

This just turned me off from doing the Z06 swap. No way could I do all that!

Is there another way of getting the extra 6 hp the NPP system provides without doing this or anything expensive?

Don't be afraid, my NPP in a box makes it simple

What is the box you refer to in the instructions that you can put foam or towels around?

It's the 2" x 2" x 5" control box that you install in the rear storage area. You can still store towels or any other items in there

think of the size 2" x 2" x5" it's tiny, tons of space and the lid closes fine

No real difference... I'm at 600RWHP right now with Z06 mufflers...

Us mechanicals have to look out for one another considering we slept thru all that imaginary # stuff....

Look at the online instructons for the controllers and you'll see that they are opposite (add-a-circuit orineted with added circuit power wire exiting towards driver's side)..
You're right. I had the extra fuse and figured it was a good place to store it.

I have a C3 Corvette with an LS7 and Z06 style mufflers. I'm not using a BCM so would this type of install work for my application? I didn't see any place where the BCM was connected to, but I may have missed something. In the first page description it says the system uses the BCM and EBCM, neither of which I have.

You need something like "NPP in a box" to make them work. Many dozens of threads on this.

Also...You should start a new thread versus digging up a thread that's nearly 10 years old

Lastly, specifics regarding your setup would help. I'm sure many are curious to see how you installed C6 / Z06 center-exit mufflers in a C3 that has the exits on each corner when stock. Had to be some serious cutting involved to make Z mufflers (or any C6 mufflers) fit.
