Default C6 Oil Filter

I use the UPF44 P/N 25329389, supposed to be the AC Delco High Perormance Filter, but maybe being discontinued soon

I use this same filter for my '98 LS1. I didn't know they were interchangable. I do oil changes for C5 vette friends in my garage at home but have been asked to do C6 LS2's also, and have been wondering what filter to use. I buy case lots from Fitchner Chev, a CF Vendor.

they aren't. The 44 is interchangeable with the 46. LS2's - depends on the year. 07's are pf48 as are the 08 LS3.

You can't use a 44 in place of a 48, the thread are different.

I'd stay away from a Fram. Mobile 1 are one of the better filters and is readily available from local Autozones.
