Default Setting Codes?

Codes No Engine Light?

I been having some trouble with the A6. Can trouble codes be set for the transmission even if the check engine light does not come on?

I say yes, but I'm sure others will chime in.

Not sure. You can buy a scanner for 60 bucks or so and check though, or you can go to Autozone and have it checked for codes for free

A scanner that anyone can buy at a local store only checks for emission codes. If you want to scan your car for transmission problems, take it by your local Chevy dealer to run on the Tech 2 (I think that's what it's called????).
