Default z51 suspension to base c6

i'm considering the purchase of an 06 c6 z51, however the suspension is too stiff for my use. this may go against some die-hard vette fans, but is it possible to change the suspension from a z51 to the base corvette? if so, where can i get the oem suspension at a decent price. thanks...

Our supporting dealers or the C6 parts for sale, find someone with a base that upgraded to Z51.

I think the biggest offender is the shocks. I've upgraded my Base to "Near" Z51 specs with Bars, Poly sway bushings and Bilstein sports. My thoughts are that it is about perfect now. I'm sure just changing out the Shocks on a Z51 to either Bilsteins (or Koni FSD's for a little more cush) will make it quite acceptable...

Spring rates in the rear are almost identical, Rates in the front, on the Z51 are a little higher, but the shocks should control that nicely. Z51 owners who have made only a shock change have been very pleased..

If its to stiff....DON'T BUY IT! Just go find a base C6. No point in changing someone dream car to fit you.

I really like the look of the brakes. If I wanted a non-Z51, I'd probably buy it and then just change the shocks. It's not a bad idea.

No shortage of used cars out there. Buy one that matches your needs unless someone is basically giving this one away.

I would really suggest to go with the z51 then just change the shocks.
Reason is I had a base suspension and upgraded to Z06 and z51 springs but kept the base shocks absorbers.
Very very confortable ride.

good luck!

Don't the porous rotors come with FE2 now?
