Delivered with synthetic or conventional oil
When new C6's leave the factory are they filled with synthetic or conventional motor oil. I know you're suppose to use synthetic at oil changes.

Yeah, I know what the manual says that synthetic is required.
Some car manufactures put conventional oil in their cars at the factory, for the customers initial "break in period". Then the manufacturer specifies conventional or synthetic could be used.
I know the vette requires synthetic period. But I didn't know if the factory puts conventional oil in for the first fill.
I've read in the past that new motors were to be initially run with conventional oil, then synthetic could be used (or had to be used in the case of a vette).
If synthetic oil has so many benefits I didn't know why some manufactures didn't ship new vehicles with synthetic from the start, unless economics came into play.
Like my original post, I was asking if anyone knew for certain what the vette originally shipped with. I can read what the fill cap says.
