Default Painting C6 Fuel Rail Covers

Has anyone painted their fuel rail covers using spray paint. What all is involved? A friend wants me to help him do this and I have reservations about using spray paint.
Thanks

it can be done, but the prep is important. id suggest not rattle canning them if you're picky.

I used regular automotive spray paint and clear coat that I got from paintworldinc.com. I sanded the frcs smooth first which is a major pia. I was later told a filler primer would have been much easier.

I had a body shop do it, along with other under hood components and the center console & pods.
