Default Is anyone running 18 in. dr's on repros

I purchased 18x10.5 repros for my 305 35 18 mt dr's to find out that the offset is no good it seems like my only option is ccw. stock offset is 79mm on the stock 19in and the 18x10.5 is 58 mm it will stick out to much. Info and pics would be helpful

Which repro's did you buy? I have Motorsports from House of Wheels in the 18x10.5 with BFG's on them with no issues.

Yes but that's on a C5 (65mm stock offset) right?
Anthony's car is a C6 which uses a 79mm rear offset from the factory.
As far as I know they will stick out a tiny bit but should still work, especially with that tire.

This is the HUGE dilemma/issues that one faces when trying to get proper rear drag rims/tires on a C6. When trying to nail down the choice between 17" or 18" we find that either the offset, the width, the overall diameter or all of the above is wrong.
It has gotten so frustrating that if I do ever mod my C6 further I am likely going to stick with my lightweight 17" C5 front Magnesiums with 275-40 M/T DRs on them and just build the car around the wheels/tires.

Also Anthony, are you sure they are sending you an 'all black' rim like that Z06 we saw at Cartek? Sometimes these black repros are only partially black and have a silver lip or silver inserts or something.

Damn, I was afraid that might be an issue. They will go on the car and the tire does fit them but they would stick out a little bit and would certainly fling some rubber and little rocks at the side of the car and at people standing behind ya.
One option is to have a set of OEM size C6 front rims (18x8.5 with a 56mm offset I think) widened to 18x10.5 but that costs roughly $200.00 per wheel on top of the price of the rims themselves...almost as much as a pair of (lighter) CCWs.

You still have the option of going with the 275-40-17 M/T drag radial (they'll give a slight gearing advantage as well) on your C5 five spokes and just selling off the 305-18s (or saving them for the future).

Yes, all (non Z06) C5 wheels do seem to fit well on the back of a C6, the only issue is the widths. The 18s are a little too narrow for anything bigger than a 285mm tire (though many still get away with a 295-35 BFG drag radial) and the 17s are too narrow for anything wider than a 265mm tire yet people often use the 275-40s on those.

Here is my new setup.. I wanted a sleeper set but, IMO, this is as good as it gets for a C6 for drag rims / tires that fit right and STICK..

M/T 305/35/18's @ 26.4" Tall (vs. 26.9 stock tire)
18" front 8.5" rim widened to 10.5" by Weldcraft
Offset calculated at 81mm (stock rears are 79mm)
Can hit 138mph in 4th at 6000rpms (w/ 3.42)

Stock front rims are 22.4lbs
Weldcraft 10.5" front rims are 25lbs
Repros are heavier and weaker (+6 to 8lbs)

M/T 305/35R18 are 31lbs
BFG 315/30R18 are 29lbs (25.6" tall = too short)

TOTAL 56lbs each
STOCK rear w/ run flats are 60lbs+

That's the set up, it's what Spinmonster has been talkin' about for months now and it really is totally stealth.

It is an expensive route to go and one would have to weigh the benefits of those versus just buying a set of 18x10.5 CCW classics (which are likely lighter as well) in the proper offset.
For someone keeping full size fronts on at all times (meaning, no skinnies) and looking for a more sleeper type approach this IS the only way to go.

True, but you can ONLY get the 'correct' 65mm (aka: C5 rear offset) rims in size 18x9.5 which is really too narrow for those 305-35-18s, even the 295-35-18 BFGs are a little too wide for these rims but they do still work well on some applications.

If only the aftermarket made an 18x10.5 in a 65mm-79mm offset we'd all be golden!

So what are people running on the back for drag radials? Are their any aftermarket rims that look simular to the stock C6 rims that are in 18" and have the correct offset?

All different set ups...some are running C5 fronts in size 17x8.5 with 275-40-17 drag radials, some are running C5 (or C5 reproduction) rears in 18x9.5 with 295-35-18 (or 275-35-18 or even 265-40-18) drag radials. Even the C5 Z06 rims are popular.

No. There are some that look similar and some that have an offset that is 'close' but none that are exact.

I got my wheels I bought 4 wheels 2 y2k wheels 18x9.5
and 2 stock wheels 18x8.5. Im gonna mount the DRs on the y2ks and have the 07 5 stars widened to 10.75.
Now I have a new issue with the tire sensors

You have the 295-35-18 BFG drag radials, right?
They'll work ok on the 18x9.5s but once you get them mounted on those widened 18x8.5s they will work (and look) much better with that tire.
