Default $3000 L92/LS3 conversion

Have L92 heads with manley valves and Comp921 springs installed on your car with an actual Cory Harris ported LS3 manifold. For cammed cars, fly-cutting is included. Heads are milled .030" for 11:1+ compression.

Stock cammed cars will see a 25rwhp/30rwtq gain and moderate sized cams can see a 50rwhp and 40rwtq gain at peak.

Tune is included. Local dyno available.

Install is in Colorado Springs.

Below is one of my installs with a 228 cam through 4.10 gears which lowers dyno readings by 10+rwhp

With 3.42's the power made was 472rwhp/430rwtq. The same cam with stock heads makes 420-425rwhp.

PM for more info

Installs available at your location if facilities allow it for additional travel costs.

how much with cam install?

I keep contemplating doing this install... but, I won't do it unless I get a nice cam to go along with it.

There's the real bargain:
$4900 and it includes the same 228/232 cam or a new more aggressive cam than Craigster's install, hardened pushrods, cometic gaskets, IWIS C5R timing chain, and ARP fasteners.

New cam specs are 232-XFI/238-XER 114+2.

Hmm. That is a very good deal. I may need to think about this one... I need the funds, but, I have to admit that is an amazing deal.

How much credit we talking for the FAST? My fast is almost brand new... maybe a couple hundred miles. Has been on the car for 2 weeks. PM me if need be!

They do, just have different scales. Right at roughly 410 for both at 5250.

The intake-ports of L92 heads have a very large cross-sectional area. They are roughly the cross-sectional size of an oval-port big-block Chevy intake port, which means that intake velocity on a small-displacement 364ci engine will suffer. Wouldn't the torque drop at lower engine speeds, especially when paired with the longer-duration camshaft?

The 232 cam will be in among the best results you can get for H/C jobs on the LS2. I would expect a 475-485rwhp result at peak with awesome driveability losing only 5-10rwtq at 3500rpm and gaing about 10 rwtq at peak.

Craig's car that made 462rwhp here has 4.10's that lower dyno readings by 10 or more rwhp so the result he had is 472rwhp+ on a 3.42 geared car. Being that its a 228 cam with zero drivibility trade-offs, it surprises me that some still ask me what cam they should use. Bumping it another 10 at peak is easy for the dyno groupies that look for such things.

The credit for those who bought and modded a FAST is 700 so the net H/C install cost is 4200. Keep in mind this includes a ported intake manifold and ported TB.

What is the loss of torque below 3500 rpm?

10rwtq.

All bigger cam H/C jobs have average TQ below 4000rpms....all tuners. The reason is that dynamic compression drops as you close the intake valve later and the bigger cam limits the amount you can bump the compression due to marginal piston valve clearance.
