Default TPE's NEW 6 & 8 Rib Heavy Duty Tensioner Assembly!!

***8 Left at these prices***

Hey Guys,

As many of you know, the stock tensioner assembly on the C5 and C6 is marginal AT BEST. When you combine a stock tensioner, with a supercharger, or throw a ton of power at the car, due to nitrous and/or a stroker motor, chances are your tensioner assembly fails to handle the task.

In the past, people have either had to deal with it, or buy solid mount tensioners. Both ways are not optimal for street use. As a matter of fact, the solid tensioner is not reccomended for S/C applications, and is mainly reccomended for track use.

Sooo, with that in mind, we looked for a way to solve these issues. What we came up with was a very cost effective way to not only have the benifits of a spring mounted tensioner, but the belt control of a solid tensioner.

Description of the assembly:
  • "Polished" CNC'd Billet 6061 Aluminum tensioner bracket. (Almost 1" thick.)
  • Heavy duty, short arm tensioner. (from a late model turbo diesel truck)
  • Grade 8 mounting hardware
  • 8 Rib pulley (or OEM 6 rib pulley if requested)
With this design, you get almost 3 times the belt tension, and a tensioner that is capable of giving you thousands of miles worth of trouble free use. As well as the durability to withstand both roadracing and drag racing.
We have tested EVERY available tensioner assembly on the market for these applications, and there is not one tensioner that holds the same torque as this one. Not to mention the short arm of the tensioner eliminates any torsional twist of the arm itself under heavy loads.

This kit was designed specifically for the use on ALL C5 and C6 Corvettes, using the systems below, and maintaining a bolt on system, with zero modifications.
  • Naturally Aspirated
  • Nitrous Injected
  • Turbo Systems
  • Maggie S/C's
  • Kenne bell S/C's
  • All other systems maintaining the stock tensioner mounts

It will not work on any of the centrifugal systems where the blower is on the passenger side, or where the stock tensioner location is eliminated.
Its the perfect addition to anyone requiring more belt tension at an affordable price.

To give you an idea of tensioner travel, the stock tensioner allows for just under 1 1/4" worth of tensioner travel. Our new HD tensioner allows just over 2" of travel. This means you get just at twice the belt control as the stock system.

We have 20 kits in stock at this present time. 15 are in the 8 rib version, and 5 are in the 6 rib version.

Normal retail on these kits are $279.00 plus shipping for the 8-rib kit, and 249.00 for the 6 rib kit.

We are having an introductory sale on the first 20 kits.

Your price will be:

$259.00 SHIPPED for the 8 rib
$239.00 Shipped for the 6 Rib

YES, this also includes the pulleys for this price. Those of you who have ever purchased an 8 rib pulley before, know that they can be VERY expensive.

Finally, we are offering a 1 year, unlimited mile, 100% parts replacement warranty on the tensioner. Please PM me for further details of the warranty, or any additional questions.

Here are a few photos of EXACTLY what you receive. The pictures below, are of the 8 rib version, and the 6 rib version.

No, The LS2/LS3/L92 kit is taking priority due to their numbers AND demand. Once that lower manifold is finished (which I saw last week), and the overall kit is completed, then we'll shift focus to the C6 Z. Its not too far off into the future, but it will definately come after the C6 kit.

Bump up guys..

So far, the response is AWESOME..The tensioner is working like a champ, with no bending or flexing. Most importantly, no belt slip!!!!

If you've got a car with either a stock setup, OR, a maggie/kenne bell, this tensioner is in our opinion the best on the market..

For that reason, KNOWING they dont twist or bend, we are now offering a 2 year unlimited mile/unlimited boost FREE replacement warranty on the tensioner.

This means, if you tear up your first tensioner, you send it back to us, and we'll send you a new one.. NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!!
