Default ******ECS Novi 2200 LS2 Results*****

We have been really testing these new 2200 head units and have been very happy with the results.. The last one we did was an LS3 A6 that went 10.5 @ 135 last week.. We just finished this 2005 A4 car. It has our 2200 kit along with American Racing headers, ECS blower cam, Alky kit, ECS fuel system and 8 rib drive..In the back it has a RPM Level 5 trans, Yank 3600 stall and 3.42 gears.. We were pretty pleased with the dyno results but as always we want to back them up with track numbers. We only got 2 passes on the car so far and we still need to work on the 2-3 shift as it hit the limiter pretty bad but still managed to run a 10.0 @ 138.. We feel this car has a solid mid 9 in it when we get it dialed in. Here are some dyno sheets, the time slip and I will post the video tomorrow...

just for curiousity's sake, what would this wind up dyno'ing if it were a 6 speed.......since I'm not a big automatic fan...

I'm thinking at least 8.....out of a mostly stock motor (besides the obvious springs and cam)

I agree it would make more HP on the Dyno.. but I'd bet the house it wouldn't be as fast ET (maybe more MPH) or as Consistent!!

I bet that would make a helluva nice Bracket car...or a 10.0 car !!!!

Great Job Chris !!

So much for power rolling off after 5200 theory.

Too many 9 sec cars around these days.

How much did the blower cam contribute?

I would have to say the cam was worth about 50-60 or so rwhp.. Thats the first 2200 we have cammed and were pleased with 765 through an auto

Thanks Dave, the auto's do make it easier though. I have spent some time on dropping the 60' times though, that is presently my best C6 60' time on that pass being 1.46. Not bad for a street converter.

btw, one thing Chris left out was that I was spinning very badly on the first pass so I dropped timing 5 degrees across the board. That's about 100 rwhp... I need a better tire! The 275 drag radials have been pushed to the edge.

Its tough, cant really be mad.. They said they had about 20 cars and the tracks are getting pretty strict with insurance lately. For us to run we would have to fill out a form and all so we usderstand. We are going to make a pass this Sat with the car at Etown if the weather holds.

This car doesn't run a restrictor plate; very different from the previous 2200 dyno... But you knew that

Very nice results btw!
