I have a Base C6. I wanted to put drilled rotors on my car because my brakes are in need of replacement soon. I'm curious as to what I need to upgrade from my base model brakes to a z51 brake kit (with the rotors and all).

I saw on Gene Culley's site that they have a Z51 Upgrade Kit for $560 + the cost of pads. I wanted to know if there was anything else I needed besides the:

- Front rotors
- Rear rotors
- Front caliper brackets
- Rear caliper brackets

And I can use the base calipers and pads with the z51 upgrade kit?

Yes,the base C6 calipers and pads can be used for the Z51 breaks...the contact surface is the same. The only thing you have to make sure you have is the brackets (which you mentioned).

My kit is really all you'll need.

The front Z51 calipers are the same as stock C6 calipers. The rear calipers for the Z51 just have a bit bigger bore size, but that is it.

Many, many customers have used my kit only and have been happy.

You could aways get the baer eradispeed +2, which has larger front and rear rotors and relocation brackets for the calipers. The disc are drilled and sloted and the rears fill the void alot nicer then stock.

Technically, neither of these kits gives you true "Z51" brakes since they do not include new rear calipers (which are very slightly different for the Z51 package). That being said, either should work just fine ...

There seems to be some type of pricing issue with the Fitchner link... when you add it to the cart the price changes to $549.99 + the shipping. I'm not surprised.

My price for $560 shipped, includes shipping. That is the least expensive price shipped.
