Battery dead, keys inside...

Jack the car up and attach the jumper cables to the engine ground wire and the positive battery line that is attached to the starter motor (+battery line and not the cranking terminal). It will open right up. If it takes 3 minutes its a lot.
Neg location:
Pos location:
The battery power will then allow the door to open. The truck wont function from the rear button if the FOB is in the driver compartment.
Depending on the headers/manifolds, you may need to use flexable small guage wires to get around them but it will be enough to get the door to function.

I had same problem!!!
The fob was in my friends top pocket and when he reached in to get his luggage it fell out into the trunk area unknown to him. He didn't realize that the fob fell out until he returned back to the room and realized that he was fobless. After looking around he then realized that it fell out of his pocket and into the trunk area. I called OnStar and they tried 3 times within the next 20minutes and I was with NO LUCK as I was in a dead zone. I finally had to get a locksmith and that is another story to be told.

I've opened similar cars before with a coat hanger; use a screwdiver to pull the window back and use the wire to hit the unlock button... It is not easy on a C6, but it can be done...

I actually tested mine (Vert) and could not find a place in the trunk to place the fob where the RCDLR would not 'see' the fob. (And, yes I did have another fob ) Coupe seems to be a bit easier to screw yourself over with

if i leave the fob in the car it gives a beep beep warning in which you have so many seconds to get the door open and get the fob out, also at the last track rental i had JMT1669 try and recode one of my tire sensors well he left the keyfob in the car on acc shut door and got out, i was loked out at the rental with the car in acc mode draining the battery i had to go all the way home and get the other fob

I don't take that chance with any of my cars. No faith that the keys won't get locked in the car. My Ford has a number pad that will get me in, but the Chevy doesn't. I very risk adverse....
