Default Powder Coated Brake Bracket ISSUES???

I recently ordered a set of powder coated brake calipers and brackets for my 2008 C6. The dealer doing the brake installation advised me that I may have some issues with the powder coated brackets setting off sensors and such. Has anyone heard of this sort of a problem arising from using a powder coated bracket?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!!

Nonsense.
There are no sensors on the calipers, and the powdercoating does not change them in any way.
I've done this on 3 cars with zero issues.

The dealer mechanic stated: "Powder coating the Calipers themselves, no problem, but the brackets should not be powder coated". The dealer mentioned some issues with magnetic reaction setting off sensors or something due to the powder coating material on the brackets being to close to something or other. Any idea what they are talking about? Will I run into problems if I install these powder coated brackets on my 2008 C6?

crazy stuff there,,,,,no worries. The powdercoaring gun has high voltage but that doesnt stay with the parts. The brake sensors are like little mini alternators that produce a low voltage but not to worry. They are just trying to sound smart. I just did my 09 with ZERO issues.

Thanks! You touched base on some of the terminology the dealer mechanic used today. I appreciate your feedback!

The actual powdercoat itself is just polyester plastic. Nothing is going to go bad by putting the brackets on. Believe me, I have over 750 sets out there on the streets with no problems.

You are talking about the Brackets and not just the calipers? Just want to make sure before I install on my ride.

yes, the job is incomplete if the brackets aren't included.

You know. The magnetic reaction with the flux capacitor. It always screws up the brakes.

My calipars and brakets are powder coated (2-years ago) and something funny happens every time I step on the brake pedal---------the car slows down and stops.

No problems here.

Was this before or after he told you need new muffler bearings?

Maybe the dealer was confusing this with SS brake lines or other modification that could interfere with electrical signals.
