Default Stock LS3: Idle and Off idle bucking

In my 05 with manual transmission I could let the clutch out at idle and the car would smoothly run at about 4 to 5 mph. If I do that with my 09 the car wants to buck and it won't run smoothly even slightly above idle, say 7 to 9 mph. Anyone else experiencing this with a stock LS3????

If it only did it cold, it wouldn't be an issue. Mine does it warmed up too.

Mine would do the same thing and made several changes to the ECM. Mostly with fueling and DFCO.

Could be LOTS of things to cause this. From a bad temp sensor to bad gasoline to vacuum leak. MANY possibilities. If its bad enough to feel, there should be a code set. If its as repeatable as you say, the dealer should be able to 'hook it up' and fix the problem. And, don't go for the "They all do that"

I have a similar issue. Mine is an A6. It wants to jump from 500/600 RPM to 1000/1100 RPMS and back. It won't stay in between. It is most noticeable at parking lot speeds. 4-5 MPH. Took it to one dealer and he couldn't find anything wrong. I've got to find a better dealer.

The dealer is not going to do anything unless there is an updated PCM file. The PCM is causing the issues and the values need to be tweaked. My 08 M6 did this from day one. The timing is acceptable in the high and low octane tables. The fueling has a lot to be desired. My fueling equations were really lean under 1600 rpms. Once the equations were richened up, the problem is gone. The DFCO (deceleration fuel cut off) was too aggressive as well. The 08's I have seen have the same issue. It can be fixed and fine a tuner in your area to help you out. I used a PLX Wideband O2 Sensor to calibrate the equations as well.

I do this with my '08 MZ6 (Z51) all the time and never have bucking problems. My car will generally pull itself along smoothly in 1, 2, & 3rd gear with no throttle application when in traffic. Do you have the Z51 MZ6 tranny or the base/F55 tranny?
