Default Best Way to INCREASE Burble & Pop?

Yeah, I know the drill - burble & pop is the sign of a bad tune, but I like it - as I decel I think it sounds like demonic thunder . There are a lot of threads about reducing it, but I want to increase the volume and "clarity" of these sounds. I have and LS3 with NPP, and leave the muffler valves open most of the time so that I can hear them. I remember when I first got the car, not knowing what to expect, and hearing that sound when I opened the valves . . . so sweet. I especially like it when I shift gears and it makes a nice, solid "pop" as I lift off the throttle.

So some questions:
-I was planning on getting the Z06 exhaust manifold (probably my next mod, though it may be a couple of months before I pull the trigger), does this have an effect?
-I have heard that LS3's have an X-pipe, which reduces burble. Will switching to an H-pipe kick it up a notch?
-Does changing the intake have any effect? 'Cuz I was thinking, what comes in, must eventually go out, in some form, anyway . . .
-Any mods I should avoid that will REDUCE the burble and pop?

Thanks.

You dont need to ditch the cats. I got Kooks headers & Hi-Flo cats with Corsa Sports and get lots of gurgle and pop.

If I want more, I just stick it in paddle mode 2cd or 3rd gear and get off the throttle for a real show to wake up everybody!

Mine is OEM stock under the hood. Previous owner installed Corsa Sports....Everytime I go down a hill in our neighborhood I hear the gurgle.....gurgles like a drunken sailor! I love it.

It’s not a bad tune that makes it burble and pop, its the unspent fuel in the cylinders. It's perfectly normal.

It only happens during deceleration. If you tap the gas peddle during the decel, the burble and pop will stop.

A good tune should lean out the deceleration though, should it not?

SLP Loudmouth. You'll get all the popping you want.

I remember finding this video before I got my vette, and being impressed by the "beat" of the exhaust. Is that due mostly to the cam?

i have to agree with your statement "what comes in must go out" anything you do that allows more air in or out will increase the volume of the crackle and pop you love so much. i dont think it will make it crackle and pop more as again that is a result of unburnt fuel but it will increase the volume. i love it also and when i added my LT headers it increased the volume significantly. so would an intake or cam. head work would definitely do it..

Cam, longtubes, and NPP's will give you all the sweet exhuast music you could want. When I'm on the way home, I have a quarter mile down hill run before I turn into the drive way. 25mph in 2nd gear will burble and pop the entire way. If I need to sneak home, the NPP's get slammed shut.

Burble is a lean condition. On decel the system goes lean. Turning off the 02 sensors will quite the burble. So as I understand it.

Headers with the offroad x-pipe (cat delete) made my exhaust have extreme pop on hard decel and was also a major flame thrower, so if that's what your looking for that's how you get it. That being said....I couldn't stand the odor without cats so after 2+ years hi flow cats are back on.
