Default •• All Injectors on sale! (FAST, Siemens, DeatschWerks) •• HINSON Motorsports

All of our Fuel Injectors are on sale!

Most injectors will max out at 80% duty cycle and this is the accepted industry standard. After you install heads, cam, intake, your sucking in alot more air and your motor needs more fuel! Your injectors will be unpredictable when maxed out and you do not want to be running out of fuel at 6000+ rpm. If you have any questions about which injector size or accessories you may need, feel free to ask them in this thread. You can reach us at 205-267-6387 or seth@hinsonsupercars.com

Why would one go with a 46# injector when the 57# injector is at the same price? Is it about efficiency ranges?

Also with E85 in my future, which of the above is suitable for this?

The wrong size injector for the application could possibly create an issue (ex. rich idle).

Since E85 requires 30-35% more fuel, you're going to need to go with the next size up from whichever size you were originally going to go with. If this is a Stock NA LS2 E85 motor, I would go with the 46's. If this is a H/C/I NA LS2 E85 motor, I would go with the 57's.

Tuning is easier with smaller injectors. Part throttle driveability is harder and harder to get rgiht as injector sizing grows.

Additionally, HP tuners type software only lets you put in an injector size of up to about 63lbs so bigger will require other tricks such as table rescaling and in some cases, resistor boxes to get them working reasonably well.

As far as E85, you need to get injectors that can handle the 30% additional flow capacity requirement so if you're at 80% duty cycle with a 40lber on gas, you need 52lb'ers for the same HP level on E85 or the next size up. Keep in mind the stock fuel system can only handle 600rwhp N/A or 560rwhp FI so E85 will lower these HP values by 25-30% making the N/A max to be in the 450-470rwhp range using no supplemental fuel syetem. A parallel fuel system triggered by an RPM switch can extend this to any level.

Do any of the larger sets come with all of the necessary information to properly set up the injectors via HP Tuner?

No they do not. A lot of the injector information can be found at http://www.hptuners.com/forum/

Thank you for your honesty. I have always enjoyed and spoken highly of doing business with Hinson.

I am a keen member of HPTuners. The information necessary to correctly setup and configure injectors does not exist on the HPTuners.com forum. A few of the most respected forum members have worked very hard to piece together the proper configuration for a few very specific injector sets.

Many members of HPTuners.com are very excited as Greg Banish is releasing a DVD that will contain the necessary settings for some of the larger injector models.

Not having all of the necessary settings for a set of injectors will result in a large number of ECM calculations (and actions) as simply being wrong.

It seems that people are just now realizing how important injector settings are. It is bizarre that injector manufacturers do not provide a detailed "spec" sheet with every model of injector, outlining the settings of that particular injector model. Manufacturers selling injectors without this information would be like manufacturers selling longblocks without telling anyone what the heads, cam, and rotating assembly was!

As always...keep up the great work and service!

Yes, the LS3 injectors are shorter than the LS2 injectors. The factory LS3 injectors are 41.74# at 58 PSI. If you don't have any injectors for it, I would go with the FAST 50#.
