Z06 bi-mode muffler on C6
My car currently has B&B Bullets, and with the G5X3 cam, LG longtubes, I find it quite loud, especially the highway drone.
I'm thinking of going Z06 bi-mode or NPP. After reading a few treads on here, I'm still confused with the difference between the two.
What I'm looking for is near stock quiet in mild mode, to near B&B Bullet loud when in wild mode.
Can I acheive this with Z06 mufflers and the mild2wild kit? If so, what year Z06 mufflers should I look for? Will these bolt on directly to my LG longtube header x-pipe?
thanks
Denis

I have NPP's on my S/C car. Also have LG tubes w/ cats. They say Z06 exhaust is a little less loud than NPP's. When closed my car is as quiet as stock, open it sounds like straight pipes! I was suprised how loud it is. If you have headers I dont think you'll be disapointed with the ROAR! Of course sound is a subjective thing but everyone whos driven in my car comments on the sound. you can find Z06 exhaust cheaper than NPP usually but the NPP is an easy swap. Z06 requires a bit more fabrication. I also have NPP in a Box controlling the butterflies.

Hi sirsenna
I have a complete 07 ZO6 exhaust system with the ZO6 muffler mod and Ed's NPP in a box. The NPP is louder than the stock ZO6 bi-modals. However, with a ZO6 muffler mod I think they're close. With the ZO6 muffler mod I estimate a 40% increase in the exhaust note. However, it's still wisper quite with the valve closed. I'm making 415/404 at the rear wheels and when you put you foot into it roars. Btw - it no drone with the valve closed and has very little drone with it open. I also did a back to back dyno comparison: valve closed = 402 open = 411
The ZO6 muffler has 3" over axel pipes attached so if u're at 2.5" you'll need to reduce it down.
Thanks, Dewman

Since you already have the headers just get the 3" x pipe extensions and you can bolt up the Z06 muffers add out npp in a box to control them and you good
