Default Calling all Wixom engine builders! Anyone know of 2 Camaros w/ LS7s installed there?

I believe one was a red 2SS and not sure what the other one is. I believe the red is spoken for/sold to Rance per Dave, but is the other one?

It's my understanding these were probably Z28 R&D cars?

Thanks for any info.

Not exactly. More like a Chevy Engineering exercise/concept to see if an LS7 can go into the Camaro and see how viable it is and performance.

I know of at least 2 that were done at Wixom from multiple sources. When GM decided not to go with the LS7 for the Z28, they basically shut down doing any more evaluation on the 2 cars.

And they gave Wixom or whomever the green light to sell them, but no warranty, and they most likely will NOT be "registerable" in most states. Not sure they'll come with an MSO.

Those types of cars (built by the car manufacturer) can't normally be sold because they don't have emissions certifications.

Hmmm.. . that would make sense actually. That's what I'm trying to find out, if they really are going to be sold or stored or torn down. If sold, I might want to try for one.

Thanks!
