Default **457 RWHP LS2 w/o heads from LG Motorsorts**

Hi guys.

Just wrapping up a very familiar car here at the shop.

This is a 2006 LS2 M6 car that arrived here with the following already installed
  • LG Pro Long Tube Headers
  • Borla Z06 Touring mufflers
  • FAST 90mm intake (un-ported)
  • Cold Air Induction
  • Hurst shifter with LG ****
  • ForgeLine ZX3R wheels
  • LG World Challenge hood

Not quite enough for the owner, he wanted to step up the power a bit to stay in pack with the local Z06's and modded LS3's. So the following were added
  • LG Motorsports G5X1 cam package with 921 dual springs
  • Underdrive pulley
  • McLeod Twin disk clutch
  • T1 sway bar kit
  • LG full dyno tune

You can see some of the photo's below as the cam came together as well as the before and after graphs.

On the rack..

Ready to come apart

Ready to pull the cam

Cam coming out

Springs ready to be changed

Drivetrain being removed

McLeod Twin disk clutch

Drivetrain going in

On the Dyno

Before and After

Before Mods:
-LG Pro Long Tube headers
-Borla Z06 Touring mufflers
-FAST 90mm intake
-CAI

-After
-G5X1 Cam kit
-McLeod twin disk clutch
-Underdrive pulley

Picking up 56.7 RWHP and 40.1 RWTQ!!

Thanks to all of us here at LG for your support, and this mornings doughnuts!

I would love to see how the after graph compares to a stock z06 graph. Any way to overlay the 2 ?

Any video's of the idle ?

From what Ive seen thats almost dead on with a stock Z. Ive seen em 10 less and 10 more depending on the dyno.

Does that cam require fly cutting the pistons?

I believe the customer took some video of the car if he wants to post that up.

Depends on the Z you are comparing it to. This car over laid with Lou's 2009 Z06, this car was 5-10 ft-lbs more across the board, and HP was right at or slightly above in some spots.

I did take video by accident, but you CAN hear the idle. I'll get better vids with MY camera shortly.
In the mean time, the video attached. Please disregard us talking over the vid. They had test fitted a spoiler on my car and we were discussing it.

I would like to add...several explicative’s that describe this car now. ALL of which result in a smile while driving this car. The computer learns and does better everyday. I DO have to learn to drive the car all over again. They changed the clutch and slave cylinder at the same time I got the increased HP/TQ.

This cam works in an auto with a stock converter doesn't it? With the 114 LSA. Very impressive numbers.

It is the biggest cam you can use with the auto, you would still see better results with a slightly larger stall as well. Most daily drivers I would use a 2200-2400 stall if you wanted a slightly better converter.
