Ported FAST 92 vs. Ported Stock Intake Manifold w/dyno results
From a happy customer who had my ported and modded FAST installed and tuned at an independent shop:
Passing power is greatly improved as is light to light driving for the everyday driver who doesnt want a high rpm only mod for drag racing.
My manifolds are ported and matched to stock heads unless you advise me of a different head.
Here is a lower 1/2 of the manifold being checked for port match. The manifold is on a stock 243 LS2 head to illustrate the airflow path:
Ported TB available at $149. Lots of extra work is done such as an epoxy painted frame and a polished motor assembly:
Throttle body on my car:
Pic of the finished plenum:
Runners arent hacked. Transitions are smoothed and then high speed buffing removes the tool marks. This is before the buffing:
JB Weld is used here and smoothed perfectly:
The rear mod pictured above is to allow it to fit the 2005 to 2007 without hacking up the firewall.
On the car:
Current FAST prep pricing is $339.00. It includes everything need to install it from fuel rail to injector o-rings. Return shipping is included to the cont 48 states. PAYPAL accepted with no additional fees.

EDITED: Posted the Dyno sheets from page 2 (Thanks Spinmonster!)
Two highly debated topics on here... is the FAST worth it over the Stock ported intake? And the highly debated which header topic. In this review it is the Kooks vs the LG.
Okay, first off let me start by saying thanks to a few people.
First off, Louis and Anthony and the whole group at LG Motorsports. There is no other better shop that takes care of you like these guys do!
They exceed every expectation! I won't take my car anywhere else. I have made the 4 1/2 hour round trip to LG, 3 times in the last month.
That tells you what a great job these guys do!
Second, Thanks go out to Guy (Spinmonster) for his work on my FAST and for his continuing CF guidance and wisdom.
The CAR
The Mods before FAST:
*Vararam VR SC1
*Ported TB
*Ported Stock Intake
*Kooks 1 3/4 headers
*Catless xpipe
*B&B Bullets
*Full Dyno Tune.
Starting pull: 369/361. 94 degrees, with 25% humidity.
First Test: Ported SPINFast 92mm vs. Ported Stock Intake
The only change being made at this current time, which was later on in the day was the SPINFast intake. You will notice that the temperature had increased to almost 104 degrees.
386/381. 104 degrees. Gain of 17hp/20tq
What is even more substantial is that this gain occurs all the way through the band on torque and gradually increases on the hp.
You will notice on the graph that there is a 13hp/17tq gain at 4k and both continually increase all the way to the end of the pull.
Again, bear in mind that this is at 10 degrees hotter which could possibly account for a little more room to gain.
Guy (Spinmonster) will be posting the dyno sheets for me so that everyone can get a look at them.

Who ported his first manifold?
Almost 20rwhp/rwtq is an awesome gain over STOCK mainfold let alone stock ported. Very nice.
I may have to look into purchasing a FAST intake.
How much louder does drivetrain noise become with a FAST?

The Spinported FAST is an amazing mod. See my track results in my sig. I got a consistent 2 mph in the 1/8 and 3 mph in the quarter.

Other happy FAST owners:
I can't tell you how much can be gained going from a ported stocker..but i can tell you i picked up 2.6 tenths and 4.7mph in the 1/4 going from a non ported stock to a spinfast92....i ran 11.60 @121 last year..and went back with nothing but a spinfast92and Tb and ran 11.34@125.7..not bad for a bolt on m6 is it..

The newest porting configuration which takes more time to complete, is really in depth. The runners are finalized with the covers together and measured for additional porting as it is done for the stock intake manifolds eliminating any irregularities from them fitting together. They are ported deeper with a few changes.
Casting irregularities at the beginning of the runners not seen from outside are addressed too.
These changes will result in a price increase soon.
Currently its 150 for the mod and 150 for the porting. Both are low. The rest of the charges are because I cover return shipping, O-rings, washers, painting and PAYPAL fees. Some of those things in rthe pricing structure will change.

over the STOCK PORTED UNIT. Its a real deal if you get one and ship it to SPIN for the MODS & PORTING. I did the mods myself and then shipped it out for PORTING & PAINTING. Its just not worth it to save $100.00 doing the MODS yourself. Just myho

When you do a H/C swap the use of heavy dual springs is the only thing that adds to noise under the hood.
The FAST does have a distinctive rev sound but its not louder than other configurations. When your car makes more power, it makes different noise most notably when you swap cams. This is why you shouldnt buy an exhaust for noise. Most people will experience the sound they want from real power gains and coupled with the noise from an aftermarket exhaust, its too much for some having them get a quieter exhaust.
Most people do a lot of mods at the same time and then think one thing is responsible for sounds that were inevitable from a different mod.
Its a fast that it will not sound stock. No power mod will retain that....including a supercharger.

The Fast itself may not cause more noise, but removing the stock, foam backed intake cover may. When I added my NPP in a box I had to take the cover off to hook up the vacuum hose. I left it off for a while and there was a significant increase in valve train noise that could be heard inside the car. When I put the cover back on the noise went away. The closed cell foam on the inside of the cover blocks valve train noise. When you switch to the Fast the cover is left off and there's nothing to block the sound

This thread is for the FAST92 that goes on the LS2 cars 2005-2007 model years only. It wont fit your car. Even if it did, most people modding their car should be aware that a 500rwhp car will not sound stock with foam covers or not. If such things really bother people....dont mod.

The LS2 doesnt have a foam backed intake cover like the LS3.

Spin closed up shop about a year and a half ago to persue higher learning opportunities. I hear that the LS3 doesn't respond nearly as well as the LS2 so it may not be worth the cost. The LS3 has a much better breathing intake system (MAF, manifold, heads) than the LS2. Run a search and you may find some valuable data on whether porting a FAST 102 for the LS3 makes a notable difference. You may even find some dyno charts with before and after results.
