Default Dash Rattle

While there are many causes for dash rattles, the one in my 2008 Coupe was due to the HUD bezel. The bezel has two "C" channels on each side that connects it to the dash panel. There are legs on the bezel that should keep the bezel C channels tight to the dash panel but on mine they didn't do the job. I removed the bezel and put some fuzzy velco where the bezel legs contact the dash panel to take up the slack. No more rattle. The instructions to take off the bezel can be found on page 44 of the instructions for installing a HUD at the link below. There is a set of three teeth at the front of the bevel that need to be pushed out of a slot so that the bezel can be slid forward and the C channels disengaged. It is very tight trying to work in the small clearance between the windshield and bezel so be careful.
