LS3 Catch Can Installation with Air Intake Silencer
Has anyone installed a Catch Can on an LS3 that has the silencer on the air intake?
How/where did you mount the can and what did you have to take apart to get to the PCV "u" shaped hose that looks to be buried behind an electrical connection(s) of some sort.
If you have some photos I would appreciate it before I start to take things apart.
How hard was it to get the corrugated PCV hoses off which look like they have a snap or lock fitting of some sort.
Thanks,

A good flat head screw driver should be able to get the job done. They are the same kind of clips on the other plastic hoses strewn about the motor. As far as installing a catch can with the silencer box, the best place to mount it is where that box is. In my opinion I would either cut that box out and put a cap, or if you want to spend the money buy a good aftermarket intake to eliminate that box.

While you're at it, replace the air box with one off an LS7. Same element.

My Mike Norris catch can will just barely fit under the fuel rail covers.
I installed an LS7 intake first, thinking I needed more room to mount the catch can, but I think it would have fit just fine with the stock LS3 intake.
All you have to do is flip the included mount so that it sits towards the rear of the car rather than the front. You'll have to play with the height to get it under the cover, but try and make sure the bottom isn't rubbing on any hoses, or add some extra protection to any hoses it might rub against.
