Default Plastic guard under front bumper

Hey Guys,

First post, new 2006 owner as of two days ago!

A quick question regarding the plastic 'skirt' underneath the front bumper (black plastic lip that hangs down about two inches) What is this piece called? I've been searching to no avail looking for info on this. It is 3 pieces and my one end seems to have popped the plastic screws that hold it in place and is now dragging when I drive.

The guy before me had it wired together (poorly I might add), but I want it back in perfect form. Any info or links to previous threads on this would be great. I'm sure it's a common issue, just can't find anything on it!

Thanks!

does the plastic guard offer any aerodynamic advantages or is it to prevent stuff from getting under the car?

The air dam directs air flow up through the front facia bottom opening to the air conditioning condenser and radiator and also is designed to help aerodynamic air flow under the car.

Thank you for your reply. Mine has a hole in it and is pretty mangled. Wonder if I will get better lap times with it fixed

Thanks for the quick response!...those are the parts I was referring to. Looks like one of the plastic screws popped out on my right air dam, should be an easy fix for that one.
