Yes,
There are legal protections against your warranty being voided
for a part like an intake.

Ok, I got my package. I saw that I will need a #20 torx bit, but no other tools are listed. Can someone give me a list of tools I will need so I don't have to make a trip to the hardware store mid project? Thanks.

Got her done! Very easy to install, even for someone who hasn't worked on cars since the 80's, like me. Took me about one hour and fifteen minutes but I was being very slow and meticulous. For someone with knowledge it should take no more than 45 minutes. I did break the little grey MAF security clip putting it back in but I don't see it being a problem going without it.
first experience with it. Sound on idle went from purr to low growl. very nice. Much more responsive. Where my car used to say "You are applying additional throttle. I think I shall accelerate" it now says "Gas, good, go fast now" so my car has been dumbed down in a very good way.
Overall: Excellent product, crazy low price, easy install, very happy.
Edit: I was just reviewing my packing slip and it appears I have the 251230, which seems to be the "Dry Filter" which is fine, i just want to make sure I clean it correctly. I'm I correct Chip?

Glad to hear it
Nice job on the install
Yes, all skus starting in 251- are the dry filter . Simply was with mild
soap and water, let dry and re-install
Enjoy

Safety Car
I have a 2011 GS and I like the oiled filter but only the ZR1 (250-230) shows as an oiled unit. The only listed unit for a 2011 GS is the "Dry" filter (251-230), can I use the ZR1 assy on my GS?
I see the price on your link is now $297.90 + $15.99 shipping, is that the current price? I see a 251-230 on Ebay for $304.90 shipped and they are usually more then forum prices.

251-230 is the dry unit
Anything with 250- is an oiled filter and anything with 251- is a synthamax Dry Filter
