Why not start at the HomeLink site...

http://www.homelink.com/program.php

If your car was produced after Oct 2006 you don't have a "HomeLink" visor you have a Lear Car2U visor. In that case try here:

You can download the owners manual from gmpartshouse The link is http://gmpartshouse.com/. Go to downloads. It says Corvette and Nav system but you will get the owners manual.

You can go to HomeLink's web site: www.homelink.com/ and download the programming instructions specifically for your car's visor unit by make, model & year. You then may need the programming instructions for your particular brand of garage door lift to finish setting up the HomeLink, particularly if you have a lift that employs a "rolling code" which is changed each time the opener is operated.

i turned the ignition on, pressed the learn button on my garage door and then pressed the homelink button on the visor, worked for me the first time out.
