Aerogard polyurethane Protective Film - Thinking about it
I have a few friends that had a protective film put on their higher end vehicles to protect from paint chips, bugs, etc...
I found this stuff - Aerogard™ polyurethane Protective Film - from ClearMask.
Has anyone here done this, if so how is it working for you?
Pros / Cons.
My BMW M3 was pretty beat up in the hood/bumper/fender paint areas because of this. Would love a solution.
TIA

While I don't agree with the best products recommendations (I'm more of a 3M person, having had 4 of them, 2 of which are on Corvettes), no use reinventing the wheel and asking for info since much is contained in these two threeads. Always good to search first!

Mils do not go with that film. It is not intended for automotive use. It's aerospace grade film and the adhesive is too strong for automotive paint. I used to install both AeroGard and Clearmask. Clearmask is simply Venture uncoated film.
You are better off going with VentureShield Ultra, Avery Nano Fusion film or Xpel. You will get a better film and a true warranty.
Where are you located? I may be able to help you find an installer. Or atleast get you a good kit at a better than retail cost.

There is a group up there called Detailing Dynamics. I hear they are excellent... in fact one of the best in the country. I am not sure where they are located compared to you but I would try them first.
