Default check fuel system and check engine light

On my '05 coupe when I fill up the gauge cycles between full and empty and the check fuel system warning is displayed on the DIC. Next the check engine light goes on. After driving 15-20 miles the check fuel system is no longer displayed the gauge stays at full, but the check engine warning stays on. Comments - has this happened with other '05 vettes??? Does not happen every time.

I would suggest looking at the o-ring on the gas cap. Other than that, you need a code reader to find out what its complaining about
