Sweet How much power do you think you'll have? Did you have all those mods already, and then your engine blew / what #s did you make?

Also if you don't mind my asking, how much is your 454 - you can PM me if you want to keep it private - or you can not answer at all

Motor was still good, but I was misinformed by a local shop. The car was shipped to nj for a new motor and I found out it I didnt need a new motor. Anyway, I had most of the mods. Hoping for 550-575 rwhp na through an auto.. 600 would be a godsend

From what I read I don't think that would be hard to accomplish, you've got the ported LS3 heads and a huge 454, plus you've already got the high stall torque converter - the deciding factor will be the cam. Even if you only make 550, you could have them spec a new cam for you to gain some more, if it matters that much. I had 571rwhp/505tq in my A6 before the engine blew, it was loads of fun I think for sure you'll be hitting at least 525 minimum, given it's a 6L80E and assuming it's a small cam. But with a 454 I don't think you went small

It's probably safe to assume a minimum of 525+ (with 540/550 being a strong possibility), anything above that is just gravy/icing on the cake.
600 is not very likely but hey, ya never know.
Either way, the potential for some seriously low ETs should be there.

I'm probably going to have to learn how to drive all over again.

I've beee waiting on the block for a long time, so I was really happy when Julio send me the pictures. I'm sure it will be worth the wait whan it's completed.

You and Mike both with your new 'big inch' combos are going to have to relearn a lot, tires, suspension and seeking/finding traction will become far more critical now.

Yeah that shortblock took quite a bit longer to ship from ERL than you'd originally hoped but good things do take time...and yes it will all be worth it once it comes together.
