Help! Reverse gear not engaging
I am having a problem with the reverse gear not engaging.
The problem used to be remedied by going to 1st then into revers.
Now my reverse rarely works. Sometimes I have to crank the engine and then turn the engine off and work with different gear sync patterns then go into reverse.
Today I could not get her into reverse and had to push my vette by hand out if my parking place. My local verge shop said my transmission needs to be rebuilt for 2200.00? Wow!
Help! I only have 61,000 miles on my C6 with cam, headers, exhaust and cold air intake. It dyno's @ 453 RWHP and 408 RWT.
Any suggestions would be great before I take it in for tranny rebuild.

Likely the Rev lockout solenoid.
Since it's easy to do, I suggest checking the Reverse Lockout fuse in the engine compartment. It's #13, 25 amp.
