Default Need closeups of fuel pump assembly connectors anyone?

Need Closeups of the connectors to the OEM fuel pump and level sensor (outside of tank) so I can track down the right plugs before I pull it out (So I don't have to cut wires)

If anyone has an OEM assembly laying around or has their tanks out I would appreciate it, will share connector part numbers once I find them.

I have the remains of my C6 fuel pump out in the garage. What do you need to know?

Well, just pictures mostly, of the connector on top for the fuel pump (not the pump itself, the one on the outside of the tank when installed) as well as the level sensor. Just general picture and then inside of the plug (I am assuming they are both female)

If they have male pins and you have digital calipers it would be great to get the pin width, but I am also assuming they are of the 1.5mm wide variety, although the fuel pump one might be bigger due to the load.

I have the tank sitting on the floor in the garage but it has a RSI hanger installed. Do you want to see the connector on top of the C6 pump? As in the connector that the factory harness plugs into?

Yes that's correct, the connector on top of the OEM hanger the harness plugs into, level sensor as well. If you have the car apart if you could get shots of the connectors on the harness as well it would make things easier.

I just found a better picture HEREbut I still need closer up.

So a picture of the 4 pin connector, close up of the pins, and the harness side as well if you can. If you can get a pin width that would tell me what series connector as well.

If you really want to go above and beyond, if you could tell me if on the harness side, on the back, if the grommets that seal the wires are separate on each wire or all one grommet that would tell me if it is a pull through connector or not (which would mean 0 hope of getting the female connector)

Here are some you should already have in the Motorhead-47 writeup.

Just wildy guessing/hoping these two are right, specifically if the first one is the harness side plug to the fuel pump, then the second one will definitely work since it is a defined mate (even if it's not identical to the pump)

Damn, those pins definitely look wider then 1.5mm, could you grab me a pic of the harness side connector?

Here are the connectors of the cable that connects the fuel pump to the fuel pump harness.

Thanks a lot!

That tells me I'm probably not going to find a new connector for the pump side . Going to have to cut it.

I found the harness side connector part number it's ac delco tech connect PT1537, I don't think a matching socket exists though, which is the part needed if you want to take off from the factory wires without cutting .

I better clarify the photos. The white connector is on top of the of the fuel pump.

The blue and gray connector plugs into the white connector.

the black and blue connector plugs into the car harness.

The pins in the white connector look to be about 2.5mm.

When you say the blue connector plugs into the car harness, do you mean it goes

connector on top of fuel pump -> blue gray connector (plugs in) -> wire extension -> black and blue connector plugging into a larger harness?

If so I think I can definitely find the other end of the last one since it looks to be a delphi connector.

Yea, that's it. The larger harness is part of the chassis wiring.

There is a part number on the back of the connector.

>PA6 - GB20 GF10< That is exactly how it appears.

Good call on the extra bit of info! Is this what the car side of the connector looks like (that the black plug plugs into) HERE Migh also look like THIS

Here is the black connector itself I believeHERE Could also be this one actually (first one is a 1.5mm blade withdth version, this one is 2.8mm blade width) HERE

This will make a much cleaner install of fuel pumps IMO.

Here is the male connector that is mounted in the DS rear fender well near the tank fill hose.

Cool thanks so much for your help!

I'm pretty sure they are 280 series connectors meaning they have a 2.8mm blade width, if so they are FEMALE MALE or MALE 2 (seem to be the same)

If they are 150 series and have 1.5mm blade width they are FEMALE MALE

I'm 90% sure they are 280 series because of the current and because delphi says THISis the 150 series which is purple inside, and the 280 series definately has that blue sealer.

So if you are looking for a super clean install of a fuel pump order THIS with associated pins and grommets. Can be ordered from HERE for pin and seal part numbers go to "related parts" HERE and plug them back into mouser. Oddly it looks like no ones sells the large blue connector seal, so hopefully it comes with the connector itself. (or you can just steal it from the original connector)

Glad I was of some help. You will definitely want the 2.8 mil pins.
