Sorry no, I was at the drag strip this past weekend with a car that has ran 8.5 as an auto with just under 1100 RWHP and it held great, but I think thats pushing the limits as it is.

Just shut down for over a week, but we faired much better then many..

We have used the Mantic 9000 in a few 1000+rwhp cars, but have only drag raced one of them so far. It has worked great, but our goal was not 60'-60'-60' like some focus on.
For a car focusing on that specifically I would go with a heavier flywheel and a slipper clutch for that matter, but this clutch is great balance between street and strip use that actually does drive like stock.

We are going back to the track soon with this car and will hopefully have a 15" spindle kit on there before hand so we can actually launch the car the way we would like too. I'll keep you posted.

I have not worn one out yet and we have been using these solely for two years now. I can contact some of the "Mantic clutch GM EFI race series" guys who are using this clutch to try and get a pass count for you, but I do not have that info in front of me sorry.
Of course that does not mean they are indestructible, but it is an aftermarket clutch made by an OEM company, the quality and durability is IMHO much better then other aftermarket clutches I have worked with.

What would you recommend for this on a 600whp car?

I would look for the heaviest flywheel/assembly available and stock up on rears/axles etc like most the cars who focus on 60' times need too. I'm not personally into spending time on that sorry, I would rather, and most would rather from my experience, have a clutch that is drivable on the street and does well on track. Very few only care about the 60' times so we'll just make more power. Then the customer has the best of both worlds.

A heavy assembly like the ZR1 clutch is why/how there are pics of a stock car lifting the wheels and cutting great 60' times, but I have replaced a ZR1 clutch with a Mantic 9000 twin and picked up over 40rwhp from the weight loss. That would raise 60' times, but would it be made up down track? I have not done extensive testing on this personally, but I do know it makes a street car spool up faster, and feel faster in general. Thats where 99.99% of our customers are, or they have an auto which are much more conducive to drag racing anyway.

I can say this. I absolutely LOVE the lightning fast shifting that the twin disc affords me. I've checked my logs and am getting less than .11 shift times from 1-2, 2-3, and 3-4 with a 100% throttle lift. I have only flat-foot shifted the car 2 times at the dragstrip and didn't like it. I prefer to lift.

I was still able to go 1.5x on the 9000 with a relatively soft launch(4000rpms) and less-than-stellar track prep. I believe I'll see 1.4x or better in the very near future.

Even though I have a stronger C6Z diff and always have spare axles I'll pass on looking for the heaviest assembly lol

Thats the same answer I get from basically everyone.

But to get those 60' records that some like to brag about means breakage and a less streetable clutch are part of the equation, just the way it is. Of course a 60' record and a $1.50 gets you a ride on the city subway, but is worth the ride to some.

No lift shifting often gains .06-.08 per shift though...

I don't doubt it. All that time I save at the dragstrip comes back around to bite me in the *** when I have to spend time/money rebuilding the transmission though
