Default 2005 c6 m6 exhaust options

Hi,

Looking to do an upgrade on my recently acquired 05 z51.

Will a 2011 GS midpipe and npp bolt right on?

Thanks,
Thauglor

I don't think there is a 2001 GS.

Depends on what you're after. Headers or axle back or both?

I'm doing an LS7 system from manifolds to tips that has the dual mode setup. They're available pretty cheap and keep the factory look & cats and can get a bit louder when "open"

It will bolt on IF you use the 2011 x-pipe too. Otherwise it won't. They changed the angle on the passenger side pipe exiting the x-pipe in 2009. So '09 and later won't match up to the '05-'08 x/h-pipe.

C6 Z06 exhaust is a direct bolt on for a MN6, in the parts section there's a guy in TX with the manifolds, cats and h-pipe for $200 that IS a steal! even with shipping which really ain't that bad! Cheap headers.

I just picked up a local set for that price. Can't beat it.. Will you gain as much as you would with nice long tubes? Probably not. But for a few rwhp less you pay a whole hell of a lot less and still have nice factory cats. And you shouldn't have any trouble passing a visual inspection if you need to do that.

There are supposedly people picking up 25rwhp+ with LS7 exhaust + tune on LS2's. Can't beat that.

Hard to beat for the money. Now I'm looking for a NPP or bimode setup for the back half so I can get it a little louder too!

You guys rock, thank you for the tips. My brother found me a local z06 full exhaust so I will be doing that instead. Will be running open for a bit until I install the vacuum for the bimode.

Thanks everyone!!

OH so it's open without the vacuum lines ran? I guess that makes the loud part easier, lol
