Default Weld rt-s 17x4 skinny

does anyone know if the weld rt-s skinny will fit over the z51 brakes?

If you get them in the right offset they should, I know a few C6 Z06 owners have used them and those brakes are bigger of course.
There is a chance that they were actually using a 17x4.5 or even 17x5 size though.

hmm who do you think I should call too find out the right size and offset to make them fit?

Probably Weld Wheels themselves might be best, possibly also Summit or Jeg's but I wouldn't count on them being entirely accurate in this specific case.

I called weld racing today. They told the 17 won't fit over the z51 you have to get a 18, but the 17 will fit over the z06 brake. Doesn't make too much sense to me because the z06 brake is a good bit bigger.

I assume they understood you said z51 and not zR1

maybe it's just and offset thing

I made sure they knew i said Z51. They couldn't give me a reason why they wouldn't fit.
