XLR Converter in A6

Drifting
I've been thinking of getting one myself but I already have a Yank 3600.
My friend had his stock converter loosened up which is pretty close to the XLR now. He really likes it cause it stalls high enough but still has stock manners around town.

Very few articles on this, I also heard they work well . Looking for something in the 2600-3000 range and still retain the stock manners, any performance gain with the XLR converter.

I have the XLR converter with 3.42 rear on my 08, but I bought it that way so I can't tell you about the performance gain. However, as soon as I get my trans replaced I'm going to try to break it again

Real world results...
I've had more converters in my care than I care to admit and happen to have firsthand experience with a restalled XLR converter but unfortunately they're a waste of money in my opinion. If it's not too late then save your money, otherwise you're not gonna be happy with the results.
Case in point, here's my best time from back in 2007 while I had 3.15 gears in the car with an XLR converter restalled to about 3000:
This timeslip was from a buddy's care back in January and as you can see they're pretty close to each other with the 60ft times being only .022 apart:
The problem however is that the converter in my buddy's car was a stock one so with the mods being very similar otherwise (same driver, HP, tires, gearing, tires etc) there was an extremely negligible difference between the two converters.
When I finally bought a real converter (a Yank SS3600) with no other mods I started to see some major gains as I immediately knocked over 4 tenths off my ET and 2 tenths off my 60ft alone:
Hope that helps...
