Default turn crankshaft clockwise or reverse clockwise to turn motor manually?

im tryin to turn motor manually do i turncrankbolt clockwise to the right or reverse clockwise to the back

As viewed from the front of the engine direction of rotation is clockwise. As viewed from the drivers seat it would be counterclockwise.

Yes, but it has to be viewed on a day with a Y in it.

all american made car engines turn clockwise (when viewed from front) except for...

Some models of Honda prior to 2005 (i dont have exact list)
Corvair "flat six"

there were some folks that have "altered" them to turn counterclockwise but doesnt count as 'american made'.

There was a good reason for the Corvair reverse rotation. By using the already in stock Saginaw 4 speed transmission with a hollow main shaft they could save $$ by not having to design a reverse rotation transmission/differential.

Interesting design, engine in the rear, then the differential, then the transmission. the engine turned a shaft that passed thru the differential , then thru the hollow mainshaft of the tranny and drove the trans at the front just as though the trans was located behind a front engine.
