i see some people calling the red c6 vette torch red,is this the case,,i thought there was no factory torch red on c6's ,they went to victory red?????????? did they have torch red/

Torch Red came back to replace Victory Red starting with MY2010 if memory serves me.

What I remember was due to a life long friend of mine that loves red sport cars. Came over to the corvette world 11 years ago with a 01Z in Torch. He upgraded in 2008 with an 08Z but was disappointed in having to settle for Victory as he really loves the orange tint Torch Red. A year or more later I saw that Torch was coming back and thinking at the time if only Steve had waited a little longer before upgrading to a C6Z to get it in Torch.

Funny how the world works. I never cared for the orange tint of Torch and was happy to see Victory come about. I even picked it to replace the Torch color on my older Vette.

I had a Torch Red 99 hardtop. I just got a 2013 Torch Red Grand Sport. The new Torch Red doesn't seem as orangy to me.
