Grand Sport runs a ZL1 today!!!
The reason for this thread is because it's the first time for me to see a ZL1 run at the track. It was Test and Tune day for 8.50 and slower cars.
"Finally" got the chance to see and run (twice) the fastest of three "modified" ZL1's (580 hp) Camaros today. There were two automatics and I think one stick. The stick made a partial pass and I think went home. The second fastest was a "factory" ZL1 that had a K&N CAI, drag radials and a tune. The fastest one was actually a put together one, so I really don't count that one but it was the fastest and I man handle him anyway. Oh, I was approx. 4 tenths faster than the 2012 modified "factory" ZL1. All it took on my stock converter A6 GS was a set of headers with the 430 hp stock (quiet) mufflers, a OEM factory modified air intake with the stock paper filter and a "canned" DiabloSport intune tune with 3/4 tank of gas. PS: The fastest (put together) ZL1 would put a tenth of a second on me in the first 60 ft. but by the 330 ft. we were about even and then By-By.
Now I know how my car would stack up on the street with a stock ZL1.

11.72 (over a tenth and a half faster then the fastest "put together" ZL1 & approx. 4 tenths faster than the modified "factory" ZL1)
I have gone 11.52 @ 121.89 mph, but that was on my "shorter" stock 2010 "run flats" and less gas. Today I was on my "taller" 19" Nitto drag radials also on stock rims which slow me up approx. a tenth in the 60 fts. Believe it or not I will leave up to you.
When I get the transmission tuning update for my new intune most likely next week along with a change back to the "run craps", less gas and good air maybe a new GS bolt-on record is in the near future.
