Mantic 9000 Opinions

I just got it and it will go in as soon as the motor comes back from the machine shop. The biggest bummer for me was it's SFI rated to 7000 and there are about 9 million warnings in the documentation to not go past it so now I'm rethinking my top end some to lower my rpms as I was planning on 7500rpm.
That kind of sucks...

Anyone know if the Mantic is rebuildable and how much it cost?

Yes it's rebuildable but I'm not sure sure on cost.
I wasn't to worried about the warnings. I don't think the stock clutch is "approved" past 6700 or whatever but I took mine to 7100+ routinely with no issues.
The fact that Mantic had the clutch certified to 7000 sat very well with me. I took mine to the same 7100 on a regular basis, again, with no issues.

I have ran it to 7800 RPM so far with it still shifting great, it's just SFI rated lower. I also not had an issue shifting a stock clutch over 7k and they are not SFI rated at all.
I have not had to rebuild one yet, but we were given extra discs from mantic in case someone did wear some out.
I will find out what the rebuild procedure is though, but with most clutches that claim they are rebuildable, the cost is so close to new that really all they are doing is giving you one at cost IMO.
Here is a vid of a car making 1080 rwhp, this was it's first all out pass, there's is still a lot left in it. I'm hoping/expecting to see 8's from this car the next time out with it.
btw, this car has a boost controller in it which is why it slowly dropped ET throughout the day as we turned up the boost.

I'm really leaning towards the Mantic

I am running the Mantic 9000 as well, im putting down 750/680 to the wheels. Still in the break in period but feels close to stock. Love the clutch so far, slight chatter when not in gear, but other than that no issues.

Great. Need more reviews on it. So far so good.

Have had mine in over a year on a car that makes 494/444. During break-in clutch would chatter on taking off. Also, when I first installed it, it would chatter a little while in neutral. The neutral chatter went away once the idle rpms were increase slightly. Since breaking it in I get an occasional chatter, but I say 95% of the time is acts and feels like the stock clutch. I actually think I prefer the feeling of the Mantic to the stock plus I picked up a few extra HP/TQ. No down side. A clutch that has the characteristics of a stocker with lighter rotational mass and can hold the hp.

Haven't posted since I made my decision. I went with the Mantic 9000 back in late January. Installed it in early February and that gave me plenty of time to break it in right before TX2K14. Effortless pedal feel and nice and smooth shifts. Like has been reported it does have a little shatter at first but that goes away fast. Once it was broke in it handled a dyno session with ease. Took it to Texas for the event and it just kept getting better. I know the drag strip will be another test but so far this has been a great decision and wish I would have bought it originally.

I'm still breaking in my clutch, but I've driven just about every clutch out there. This one and the DYAD are the top 2 as far as driveability with this one on top of the DYAD so far. I'll know more once it's fully broken in if it's not already. The DYAD is quieter at idle, but the Mantic is much better to drive as you can slip this one to get the launch you want. The DYAD didn't have much ability to slip compared to stock or to this Mantic.

I love mine. Such a pleasure to drive a effortless clutch that holds power.

I'm installing the first Mantic triple today on a fresh build, it has held over 2000 ft lbs of TQ on the clutch dyno and is being rated to 1500 ft lbs of TQ capacity with a large margin of safety.
I will post my impressions when I get it on the road, might be a week or so.
