NPP Toggle switch
Anyone know of a place to get a toggle switch that will fit into the cigarette lighter? Right now I have a plane switch in the ashtray to control the NPP manually but really want to clean it up with a simple switch in the cigarette lighter.

We've got the "Old School" NPP swith on our dead pedal, like an old fashioned headlight dimmer. We love it that way, easier/quicker to use than any of the other locations or clickers.
Just something to consider...

Melting Slicks
with Jim. At the top of the dead pedal. Out of the way, out of sight, hands free.

The dead pedal is that plastic thing over on the left side, where you can rest your left foot. You can temporarily remove it to install the switch.
I bought a kit that included the switch and wiring, they had a diagram of where to drill the hole for the switch in the dead pedal. IIRC, I positioned mine slightly higher than recommended, to reduce accidental actuation. I still manage to press it by accident once or twice a year (that's every 10k to 20k miles) but not a big deal.
You do want a sturdy switch, a good electronics guy could probably find one for you but I just bought the kit. I think a different company is selling them now, you can ask here and people will know.
When installing, I put a small dab of blue Loctite on the switch threads so it wouldn't come loose. It's been working fine for almost 4 yrs/55k miles.

I put mine under the dash, pretty close to the center console starts... out of view. Don't like the dead pedal location, plus I have aluminum pedals. But found an even better location somebody posted: on the forward-most part of the rear center console, which is very easy to remove. Consider that location. Good luck.
