Default New! Trickflow LS3 Heads! 382 CFM!

From the makers of the baddest cathedral cylinder heads on the market, comes the all new Trickflow LS3 Cylinder Heads!

Trick Flow engineers combined the best features of GM's LS3 and LS7 cylinder heads with their own unique brand of race-winning engineering and technology to create the ultimate square port LS cylinder heads for 4.000 in. and larger bore engines--the GenX 255 cylinder heads for GM LS3s. These heads feature fully CNC competition ported runners with a premium high-resolution surface finish for maximum airflow and performance potential. They have a 12 degree valve angle to increase piston-to-valve clearance and allow for the use of larger camshafts. Cant wait to see these on a big cube motor but I think they will need a carb style intake to really show the potential of these heads.

On paper, these heads should outperform any other LS3 head on the market. They flow better with a smaller port than other heads with larger ports. I can't wait to see how they perform once dyno tested on a few different configurations. Based off the success of the cathedral heads, these should be a winner.

What makes these heads better than the 255 or 260 Texas Speed head? I have been looking at getting a set of the 260 heads for my LS3 427ci build.

Trickflow has one of the best reputations for big power LS cylinder heads. The results will speak for themselves once they get tested on a few different configurations.

I'd like to see results on the everyday stock displacement LS3 and a medium sized cam to see what the real builds will see, not some max effort build no one will ever duplicate. As cam only builds show near 500rwhp and H/C builds with cathedral port trick flows are 530+, the real comparison is to see if they make 535+ with the same cam. CFM was shown long ago to mean nothing if the runner is hogged out to acheive it. AFR 205s were hitting 500rwhp with 305CFM and a 236 cam. The real way to compare CFM was to show a ratio of runner size vs CFM....IE 205ccs/305CFM. I guess CFM per CC? This head appears to have as good a ratio as the cathedral port trick flows in that dept.

They look great and seeing as how they addressed the 2 big issues, clearance and the huge intake runner, they will likely do well.

So do a stock LS3 with a comp LSR cam need 7.700 or 7.750 pushrods with these heads?
