Here are my 3 2008 A6 graphs.

Bone stock

Then I added
1 7/8" Stainless Works Longtubes, 3" Catted (but gutted) X Pipe and C6Z Mufflers + Tune (Stock Air Filter, car trapped 122mph like this)

Then I added a Halltech MF103 and had it retuned on Saturday

So what do you think is causing a difference of 25 HP between the two vehicles ... could it be the CAI choices?

More than likely dyno variances. A CAI isn't going to account for 25-30 difference in hp/torque. Dynos are good for tuning and comparing against yourself, other then that the track is a better judge.

Default dyno

Here is my 08 Coupe/A6/2.56 rear, with approx 46k miles. I don't have any baseline dyno sheets but with the headers installed and untuned the initial pull was 381 hp.

Mods:
LG 1 3/4 super pro headers gutted cats
Borla Stinger ( 3" version from Z06)
Halltech KillerBee w/hive

I was told that with the fresh oil change it my be off a pony or two....until the oil was broken in.

The E85 should have been roughly responsible for about 30Hp.

Did you do something custom on the X-pipe or are your corsas for the early c6's? (Still waiting for hinson to release an X-pipe for the 09-13's...)

My 2010 GS (A6) has went 122 MPH (not my record ET run) in the 1/4, total weight w/driver approx. 3570 lbs. Anyone have a HP# for this mph & weight?

2010 GS MOD SPECS.

1) 1 3/4" headers, no cats & 3" X-pipe connected to the stock (430 HP) mufflers. < save some money!

2) 93 octane DiabloSport "canned" tune.

3) OEM air assembly with oem paper filter that I converted to a CAI. < cheap

4) 160 stat.

Running on all four stock Goodyear runflats & stock converter.

How did you do the CAI

Just headers do a lot of the grandsport. I have the same car and it felt so restricted stock. It makes a huge difference.

Check my old threads & posts for pics and How to. My best MPH is 125, check the "Bolt-On" GS list and I must say I don't think any GS or lighter standard body LS3 has went that fast with just those type of mods.

I traded in the GS on a 15 Z06 but I took my complete CAI system off including the cutout shroud before trading the GS in. I live in Maryland, if interested and willing to pick up $150.

That way you could keep all your stuff stock. I went from a best "stock" record pass of 12.31 to a best of 12.01 with just this CAI.

PS: Have the headers and X-pipe too.

Just Dyno'd yesterday:

I Live in California - hence the 4 Cat System, there was no baseline before I put the parts on, there was a street tune done to dial things in before the Dyno runs/tunning

2009 LS3 A6 with 2.56 Gears - VARARAM, NGK TR5IX, Taylor 8mm wires, 2012-2013 ZR1/Z06 Exhaust manifolds, 3" Catted Downpipes, 3" Catted X-Pipe into 2 1/2" NPP factory Mufflers

390.86 RWHP ( divide by .82 = 476.65 HP @ Crank)

387.36 RWTQ ( divide by .82 = 472.39 TQ @ Crank)

Thanks,Matt

Default Drivetrain lost has dropped on the newer cars.

From what I have been seeing lately the drivetrain loss on the newest cars are between 12-15%.

Example: 390 WHP divided by .88 = 443 HP @ Crank

Not sure but is this directed at my post of the 390 RWHP just above?

A6 vehicles divide by .82 for the Crank HP approx. 20% drivetrain loss (which mine is)

MN6 you divide by .86 for the Crank HP approx. 15% drivetrain loss

Thanks,Matt

Here is my bone stock, 13 grandsport dyno. It's a m6. The green line is after the ganitelli wire install. Wonder what it will make now after the z06 air intake, and the headers, full exhaust, and tune?
