Default C6 Convertible Top Latch

Hi everyone,

I just got my 2009 C6 a couple of weeks ago. This is my first Vette and it's a great car.

It's a convertible with the automatic top.

Today when I got home I put the top back up and I noticed that the pull/locking handle at the front of the top was down.

Usually after releasing the top to put it down I turn the handle and stow it into its recess before hitting the down button. Must have forgot this time. The manual doesn't caution against it but I want to make sure nothing could get hurt if the handle is sticking down when the top is put down.

Thanks in advance!

Yea, you're fine, no harm done.

Believe it or not, in the earlier years of C6 existence, there were frequent debates here about that topic. Never any absolute resolution though.

I've done mine both ways and both work with no issues.
