Default Getting a "Cartek 403" motor !!!

Well after I blew up my LS2 on the dyno, I asked Cartek to build me a motor that will be competitive in the 11.0 zone...

Well they are building me a Stroker (4" stroke) to be a 403 ci motor with their 3x cam (I think) and I have a Vararam, Kooks Headers, ported & polished 243 heads, FTI 2800 converter, FAST 102 intake...+ a few other small upgrades..

Julio assured me of 11.5 in the hot days of July & Aug.. and he feels I should be able to go into the high 10 sec zone in good air...

I'm hoping its ready for late Nov of this yr or I'll have to wait until March when E Town or Lebanon Vally open.. or maybe Atco...

I'm looking to get a roll bar as I think it kind of a waste of $$ to get a high 10 sec car and slow it down to 11.5 if I don't get a roll bar...

Dayum.. it seems like forever until I get it back... looking to run in the 10's !!

John, it should run in the 10's easy. My mild 402 stroker (only 445/413 tq) in my heavy Silverado is running 11.14 - 11.16 area @ 120.
Runs 11.3-11.5 @ 118 mph in the heat.

Happy days ahead

Although not a Cartek 402, I have been thrilled with the power of a 400ci motor in the C6. Enjoy!

I'll be getting the exact same engine but I'm running a 2800 converter & have Kooks headers, X pipe & Kooks hi flow cats...

It should be ready for the dyno in about 1 week, as they want me to put about 300 miles on it before it goes on the dyno....
