brake caliper banjo bolt torque?!? stripped
Hey everyone...
Put on rear calipers after they were painted....started torqueing them with the trorque wrench (3/8). to 33ft/lbs.
rear never even felt like they crushed the washers....stripped right out..
is this a common problem? The front seam to be fine.
I am getting a new set of calipers and I bought 4 new banjos and new washers all around.
Whats the best tip to doing this. I don't want to go doing this again..
(Yes I read a few other post after searching but I wanted some fresh opinions.)
also...leave bleeders open or closed as I tighten the banjo's down?
I feel like if they are only at 9ft/lbs they could vibrate loose.
Thoughts?
