I just purchased a slightly used MGW shifter, and I got everything that came in the new kit, with the exception of the lube for the shifter. Anyone know what type of lube I should use or where I could purchase the proper lubricant?

I do have NAPA Silicone lubricant in a blue tube, which I use for lots of uses, including brake pad backing, but am not sure if it's the proper lubricant for the shifter.

That's a good question- and one you may very well see George from MGW answer. I don't know offhand, as I have what came on the shifter in there.

Mine came with gasket sealer, but no grease, so I thought!

Thanks for the response and the pic! A guy @ the local corvette and hot rod shop just today told me that they simply use white lithium grease, but it seems to me that a synthetic would hold up to the high temps better.
