Melling High Volume oil Pump
Any thoughts?
.........exert from the manufactures claims:
This pump provides 18% more oil volume at a higher pressure relief setting. The pump's relief spring is designed to raise the internal pressure setting 10% over stock. The relief valve features a screw in valve plug with the optional lower stock pressure spring supplied.
It hardly seems worth the cost as the LS3 pump does so well and this only provides a nominal 10% increase. Example: An average pressure of 30lbs would only increase to 33lbs.
Is it worth it? Are you guys using them?

If I were doing a complete rebuild of the engine, I would probably put in one of these just for the increase in quality, but since the stock pump already provides far more pressure than is necessary, it would not be something I would do otherwise.
