What kind of powersteering fluid
The GM dealer just told me to use dextron 3, but I thought the Corvette had it's own powersteering fluid with part number and everything. Is that stuff more akin to auto trans fluid or to regular powersteering fluid?
What should I use then, automatic transmission oil dextron 3 or the regular ol' pennzoil powersteering fluid, someone enlighten me.

Your car should have come with a publication called the Owner Manual.
If yours has become lost, you can use Google to find an online copy.
Near the back of that manual, there will be a list of the proper fluids to use in your car. A good dealer can tell you if there have been changes in the recommendations for your car.
If a dealer told me to use trans fluid in the steering, I'd never come back. Yes, you can do it. No, it's not the best idea. If it really was a good idea, GM could streamline their parts inventory and production line, and save some money, by eliminating the separate PS fluid. They have not done so.
A dealer is supposed to stock the correct fluids and be able to tell you which ones are right for your car per latest GM recommendations. They may not have it all memorized, but they darned well should be able to look it up.

most car manuals say to use ATF for power steering. The bad is when either power steering or transmission fluid is leaking, you can't tell which one. Most aftermarket power steering fluid is clear instead of red.
