I have a 2007 Z06 Atomic Orange with all options and all accessories.
It has 366 mi on the odometer.
On it's first highway drive, in July 2007, it blew out the fitting, holding the
transmission cooler line to the transmission. The whole rear undercarriage
was drenched in fluid.
It was fixed at the dealer, with a new line and transmission housing cover, and went into storage until 2008 with 16 mi on the odometer.
In 2008 it was driven to 4 car shows, and a vibration in the driveline was
brought to the attention of the dealer, when there for inspection. The vibration only occurs between idle speed of 700 rpm and 1000 rpm, but is very noticeable at start up, and will also do it in 2nd gear at the same rpm. Going into storage in Oct 2008 it had 147 mi on the odometer.
I had a 61 Corvette 4spd, which had a similar vibration, at 1500 rpm in any gear. When the clutch was replaced, the vibration was gone.
I suspect that fluid may have gotten on the clutch, but regardless, I believe the problem is in the clutch.
I welcome comments.
